![]() To set the new IP address of the network interface which you have obtained from your network administrator, use the ping command and arp command with the -s flag (create an ARP entry). See the device user guide for instructions on resetting the device to its factory default condition. Note: The IP Link device must be at its factory default IP address (192.168.254.254) for this procedure to work. Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) The ARP command assigns a given IP address to a device with a specified MAC address. The ARP/PING command can be used to change the IP address settings of the machine via the network. The subnet mask and gateway address are set to '0.0.0.0.' Enter 'exit' and press the ENTER key. Enter 'arp -s IP address MAC address' and press the ENTER key.
